  Since it is obvious all religion is wrong why do so many believe?

  any religion that claims it is the only correct one is obviously wrong.

  by it's arrogance it becomes mutually exclusive of any other religion.

  when one steps back they can see that the contradiction of one religion over the others is a proof that they all must be wrong.

If a dummy like Clinton (Gore or Kerry as well) had been in charge, who knows what would have happened! I am so sick of this, 'hate America, blame Bush' mentality that the libs keep pushing! Everyting is political and blame game. "Let's get Bush any way that we can", and why is this the attitude?
  Bush has the backbone to take the war on terror to the enemy in Afghanistan and right to the doorstep(s) of the murderous brute in Iraq, who was paying 'homicide bombers' $25000 per! Yes, Bush has backbone, democracy is starting to free people in the middle east and the libs can't quit howling for his head. Ohhh, I forgot, Bush is a Christian in a mostly Christian country, which is responsible for the freedom of millions while socialism and communism has killed hundreds of millions in the 20th century alone.

  If the people on the news are blacks committing crimes then I suppose the media is 'racist' for unfair video of blacks committing crimes? Let's go on with the general idea. You think that because the people who did not leave the city are black, then the federal response and Bush was slower than it would be for whites? What a ridiculous stand to take. If you research Yahoo news for Aug. 29th you will see that New Orleans had thought they 'dodged the bullet'. Still, there were several moves made by the Bush administration (reported by the Christian Science Monitor) PRIOR to the landfall of the hurricane that set the possible response machinery in gear, otherwise the response would have been even slower! Mow, add to that the fact that local police are supposed to handle the troublemakers while the National Guard concentrates on relief efforts. The local commanders did not know that the police force had lost as much as 2/3 of its strength (I'll bet they had a real good local union though!!LOL) immediately after all the flooding began. Knee jerk liberlism always has the blame placed everywhere except where it belongs.

  my husband spoke to my mother-in-law (a die-hard jw) after the horrors of katrina started to unfold.

  her only comment was, "this is nothing compared to what armaggedon is going to be like.

  BTW: Hats off to all the organizations, especially the Red Cross, for their humanitarian efforts. Perhaps they can train our government in how to respond to a crisis. Please consider a donation to one of them.
  
  
  I have reliable inside info related to this: The Southern Baptists are providing the meals to the Red Cross for upwards of 400,000 people. Yes, the terrible fundys are doing the Christlike thing! Abruptly, churches and local associations are sending out dozens of already trained volunteers who are often PAYING their own way. As long as the 'dubs have been forcasting 'Dubageddon', why have they not even trained anyone or even stocked up on supplies?

This portion was not found to be a forgery until the 18th century. The lands of the conquered Lombards in Italy was given over to the papacy. History shows that the marriage of politics to the early church led directly to the wholesale corruption of each and the apostacy of the original church.

  according to christs words at the last supper, his followers were to "keep doing this in remembrance of me" but st paul says that by taking the emblems we are declaring the death of our lord "until he arrives".. the greatest man book (i've been looking at it) says the "arrival of the son of man, jesus christ, with the angels must be invisible to human eyes.

  the arrival occurs in the year 1914.

  if the gb really believe this why are they still doing the memorial road show?.

  Amen, salvation only comes with being 'born again' as a new creation. This is a symbol of my own death, burial and resurrection. The Lord saved me in early 2000 and I got baptized in a Baptist Church in April of that year. BTW, same thing for my wife and two sons (who are now in their early twenties).

  Hey Daunt,
  How are you ever going to separate that which is in your nature? Emotions are very much a integral part of all belief or non-belief. We aren't Vulcans, you know! ;-) God can and should be pursued with passion. Ask Him to show Himself to you as I did. You might be surprised at the outcome. I wouldn't even acknowledge it here. They will kid you and curse you till you 'repent' from your faith.
